Cancer! Cancer!

I have been following a blog belongs to a lady called Flora.
She was a Cancer Fighter. She suffered from Breast Cancer n the cells spread to her liver n she fought for 3 years.
Why I chose to follow her blog? Cos she was really a GOOD FIGHTHER. I admired her courage, her positive altitude and more.. She could even walk out of her "failed marriage" in the mid of her treatments.
I finaly made my 1st move to email her in June and she REALLY replied to my mail!!
I was very very happy to receive her mail!! From then, we exchanged hp no.
I smsed her in July when I did not get to see her update. And she replied saying she was having a rough time and would update me once she felt better...
But so sad, she did not get better and she GONE WITH GOD..
I was glad that she was released from her suffering, but I wished she could stay a bit longer so that I could meet up with her and be a REAL friend...Too bad, I wasn't given the chance.

Not long after Flora was gone, tonight, I went to attend hubby's cousin' wake. She was another victim of Cancer!! She suffered for abt 4 years. I should say she is a fighter too!!
Maybe because this cousin is same age as hubby and also hubby's playmate when young, think hubby feels a lot.. Out of the blue, hubby asked me to guess what was the ambition of this cousin!! I was shocked.. and of course I would not know the answer!!
So, I asked him back and his answer "SINGER"!!
I can sense the sadness hubby has and also understand why he suddenly asked this above mentioned question. Maybe he was thinking of the time they spent together when young etc.But I have no words to console him.. Cos, I don't know how to..
Nevertheless, I told dear to wish his cousin all the best and she is at good hands' now cos she is at the BEST PLACE now.. no pain, no suffering..

What a sad post I have created.. haiz..

What kind of life should a Woman have?

I have a question in mind for sometimes, but I always cannot find the CORRECT answer to it.

My Question is :
What Kind of Life Should a Woman Have?
If she is married, must she put her husband, children at the 1st Place in her life? Or she should put herself to be 1st Place, do what she want, find her own happiness??

I really hope to know the answer..

Recently, the newspaper got a very HOT topic regarding the AWARE..
If I remember correctly, is abt the new management team talking abt lesbian and homosexual..

Can we really accept lesbian or homosexual?

Frankly speaking, I do have friends who are lesbian, homosexual..
To me, as a friend, I don't wear "COLOUR SPECTACLE" to see them.
They are still my friends regardless of what kind of relationship they have.
I always thought that those ppl who are lesbian or homosexual, they are borned with the opposite hormone in their bodies, thus, lead them to be what they are..
But I never ever realised that PEER PRESSURE can also lead someone who is "Normal" to be One!!

Let me share a story.
Recently there is someone who is very close to me has joined the "club".
Not that I cannot accept her, but I find her changes made me don't know how to react??
1st of all, if she is at her early 20 and she became one, I have no doubts and I would also support her to persue what she wanted to be..
But, in actual, this "someone"who is close me, is at her early 40 and married with kids!!
Now, she is telling me that she is willing to forsake her family and kids to persue what she wants in life in order to be HAPPY!
I find it ridiculous and I find it SUPER hard to accept!
I m sure that her changes is not due to inborn! Her changes mostly due to her new circle of friends she gets to know recently.
Although her husband is not a romantic, thoughtful kind. And he also likes to drink.. But, that do not contribute to her SUDDEN changes..
What abt the kids??
Have she ever spare a thought for the kids?
Is she correct to forsake the kids' happiness in order to exhange for what she so called "her own happiness"?

I really have many question marks in my head and I think I will never find the answers.

To me, as a woman, my thinking is that I could have a very colourful lifestyle before I got married. But once I became someone's wife, I have the responsiblity to uphold the "MRS". And if I have kids, I even more need to assure that my kids' happiness is more important than anything else in the world, cos I m the ONE who gave birth to them.. and I m the one who gone through the pain to bring them to this world.. thus, I have more responsibility than my husband to ensure my kids are well protected and leading a fruitful life.

Maybe my thinking is too conservative.

And I hope that "someone" is able to see the "light" soon to salvage the present situation before the situation becomes a "FINAL ANSWER"!
And also give a thought to her family. Due to her changes, the family is now like a plate of scattered sand.. her kids are under the care of a maid. How can the maid's care compared to her own care for the kids?
And also is it worth for her to forsake a husband who she shared her life for more than a decade?
What if all the so called "her happiness" is only a short term affair??

I have so many "what if", "worth or not to"etc on my mind....

p/s : If anyone find the topic uncomfortable, please don't carry on reading.
And please don't misunderstand me. I don't discrimnate "L" or "H".

What a Saturday!

This weekend considered to be a very busy & sad one for me.

BUSY - because me & hubby rushed like mad on saturday in order to make for a few places.
First, we after work, rushed to send the car for polish, then took a cab to Suntec for the IT fair, then back to collect our car from Vicom at Sin Ming Road, then to Parent In Law's place to fetch Ayden, then to collect cake, then to Bishan to fetch Mayvis and finally to our last destination of the day - Far East Square!!
We were celebrating my 2nd brother-in-law's b'day at Zhou's Kitchen.

Talking abt IT fair, when we reached Suntec, we could not believe that S'pore is affected by the Financial Crsis. There were so many people there. The whole Suntec was crowded with people.
Of course there must be a reason why we went there. (Not because we like to be squeezed by ppl!)
I wanted to get a desktop for home usage. My present one is very slow and has been used for many years.. Thus, hubby n I decided is time to change a new one.
The fair takes up level 2/4/6 . And we spent at least 4 hrs at level 4!! We didn't hv the chance to go level 6.
There were so many brands and beside PC, I was attracted to something else!!
What is it ? - Is LCD TV.. The prices was so attractive. I nearly wanted to forsake my desktop and in exchange for a 42"LCD TV!!
But after giving a good thought, I decided to say GOODBYE to the LCD TV and continue to source for my desktop.
Finally! We settled for HP! And we paid S$1699 for a 22" LCD monitor, a 2.93GHz Duo processor, 640GB Hard disk space.

SAD - Cos I received a sms from my boss telling me one of ex-colleague from SM had passed away! Was a BIG shock to me.
That colleague of mine was at the age of 42 when he passed away on friday. He was suffering from Lung Cancer.
But feel very curious and cannot understand why someone who don't smoke and lead a healthy lifestyle would get such illness?
I can remember vividly that when I was still in SM, I always see him going round the office on friday evening reminding the rest of the colleagues for the soccer practice on saturday.
He was the "captain" (if I did not remember wrongly). He was the only one that I could see the "fire" in him for soccer in the office. At that time, he was 30 plus.
Heard from an ex-colleague, he contracted this illness on 2007.
He worked as a AD in another M&E company after he left SM.
But FATE chose to "play" with him and decided to take him away in the end.
Somehow I feel very sad for him and also sorry for not able to pay my last respect to him as his funeral was held this morning.
From now on, I cannot hear ppl mentioning abt him anymore in my trade .

Rest in Peace, my friend.
Hope you can find your "new field" for your soccer practice THERE.

GoodBye Grandis

This is our 1st Brand New Car we bought after we got married.
The car before this was a 2nd hand Toyota Corona..
So this Mitsubishi Grandis is a very SPECIAL car to us..
We bought this when Mayvis was 6 months old.
In another word, we are the owner of this car for coming to 4.5yrs.
Really feeling sad that after tomorrow, we are no longer the owner of this car.
(We sold away this car as hubby's company provided him with another vehicle.)

Still remember very clearly how happy Mayvis was when she could watch her DVD/VCD of Barney/Hi 5 etc when the car is moving!!
Then come Ayden, the 1st thing he will point to when he gets into the car is the Screen. He will make noise to ask me to on it..

After tomorrow, the kids are not able to do what they used to do anymore.
Although the so-called "new" car is better than Grandis, but I think the feeling is totally different!!
I wonder will the kids feel it??
Or m I too sentimental??? Cos after all is just a CAR!!!
