My Parents

Although now that both my parents no longer around, but they are forever in my heart.
Their laughters, their anger, their sadness - all expressions shall be with me till I meet them again.

When my mum gave birth to me, she was 36 yrs old and dad was 42 yrs old.
They were not well educated. Dad worked as a salesman and mum was a housewife.
Although we were not rich, but I was showered with a lot of love from them since young.

I remember when I was 4 yrs old, I started to follow dad to work. I would sit in the car and waited for him when he went to visit his customers. Then we would go to a petrol kiosk in Geylang where dad would meet his taxi's friends for coffee. We would also wash the car at there. Dad would take care of the external and I would take care of the internal.

During saturdays, I would go shopping with mum, visit my eldest aunty at a temple or go to mum's brother house. Then evening time, would meet up with dad and went home together.

I was a very daddy's girl. I followed my dad whenever he went. Even when he went for mahjong sessions at uncle's house. But I also very closed to my mum.. Cos I was her informer!! wahaha!!

I was very lucky compared to my other siblings. I remembered dad and mum brought me to Genting highland for so manytimes till I lost count. And I got most of the toys I requested..

As I was the youngest, my other siblings all were teenagers or even started to work. Thus, I was the only one who always around with my parents. Needless to say, I was the last one who got married in the family.

Before married, I would chat with them after dinner.We talked about anything. Sometimes during the chat, mum and dad would start to argue a bit and I would be the Peacemaker! After that, dad would watch his new and went to bed. Mum and I would stay on to watch other TV programs and started our WOMEN talk! Haha...
Think due to all these, we were even closer. And that should explained why their death hit me the worst.

My Dearest Mummy is Gone!!

In 2003, December 22nd, I lost my dearest Papa due to cancer and heart attack.
In 2011, June 29th, I lost my dearest Mummy due to virus infection and heart attack.

In 2003, when Papa was ill and hospitalised, I didn't have the chance to see his last time as I was having confinement. I was only allowed to see him when he was already peacefully lied on the coffin.
The feeling was so hurting. I had thousand and thousand of words to tell him.. But I was not given the chance.

Now in 2011, June 29th, I was with Mummy all the time.
I was traumatised by the whole thingy. Did not expect such ending.
Mummy was admitted due to fever.

27th June - the medical team was unable to find out what went wrong with mum which caused fever. Then they started to give her antibotic to bring her fever down. The medical team was not observant at all.
I was not very happy. As I felt that mummy was panting and I requested the nurse to check her. But the nurse replied was so F***ing irresponsible! She replied saying that fever's patient sure to pant.
Then I replied saying I did not pant when I was having fever!
Think she was trying to avoid doing some checking as mummy was at her ward for temporary due to no bed at general medicine ward!
Finally, mummy was transferred to general ward and she was resting well when the nurse woke her up and transferred her to another bed!
I really don't understand the purpose of doing so.
Anw, on 28th early morning, 5.20am, I received a call from the hospital saying mummy was in critical condition as her breathing was bad and needed to send her to ICU!
Everything was so sudden. The moment I reached mummy's ward, the medical team had started to insert her with many tubes etc. They took another X-ray and said that mummy contacted pneumonia. But when mummy was admitted at A&E, they said her X-ray was cleared! What was all these abt?
The next moment when mummy was in ICU, all bad news started to come.
1st, the registrar explained that mummy was having urine tract infection which affected her kidneys, then said that the virus has spread to her lung and chest! Mum's urine and blood was collected when she was at normal ward, and now then tell me what went wrong!? TTSH needed 3 days to have the result??
I really could not accept. The worst was not out yet...
On tuesday midnight, my sis smsed saying my mum suffered a heart attack! At that time, mummy was having dialysis! What the hell!!
On wednesday morning, I rushed down and spoke to the registrar again. This time he said mummy's recovery only 10%!
Seeing mummy suffering in there, having so many tubes on her. I could feel her pain.
Told the medical team to give her the best treatment but made her less pain, thus, they sedated her. Although mummy was sleepy, but she was conscious. She heard every words we said. I even promised her that she could go home once she pulled through this and I sure to bring her home.
I broke my promise. I did not!
On wednesday afternoon, the medical team gave me the new I hate most! Mummy was not able to pull through wednesday.
My world really fell apart! I broke down badly.
I hate this! I hate this!
A lot of things started to come to my mind. I started to feel unfair, many blames started to come to me.

Mummy finally gone at 1547hrs. She decided to give up. Think she felt too stressful to fight the battle. And probably she was really very tired.

Mummy, I know you heard what I told you. And I am grateful that you made me feel better by leaving us with a peaceful look. No tears in your eyes, no painful look.
But I am jealous.. Cos you really chose to be with papa than me!! hur hur...
You told me I am the one you sayang.... but I think you loved papa MOST!! hee..

Anyway, I believe you should be very happy now. Cos you are with papa now.
I saw your picture yesterday at the temple. You smiled very brightly..
I miss you, mummy..

Updates!!

Long time no update my blog.

Not that I forgotten about it, but more due to the reason of not enough time to use everyday!! (Haha - Lame excuse)

Eversince Mayvis starts her primary education. I can see some changes going on. Probably because she is attending convent school, and her friends are all girls, I can see the "spoilt brat" alititude in her. I realised the changes in her more significant after the June holiday. She requested for manythings unnecessary, eg. handphone, buying things from the school bookstore. Whenever my answer is a NO to her, she would throw tantrum, get angry with me! And she would tell me, "why my friends' mummies all said can and not you?" I sometime really don't know how to answer her questions and requests!!

Ayden has become taller and he is able to speak better. But boys are boys.. He is definitely very cheeky and naughty. But I realised he not as strong as Mayvis. Ayden has been coughing since we returned from Shanghai last decemember. Every month the PD's clinic name will sure to appear on my credit bill at least once! I have kept him away from sweets, chocolate, or any sweet stuff.. Worrying all these will trigger phelgm or his cough. Is actually a torture to him.
Last Wednesday the school was celebrating Racial Harmony Day and he came home telling my sister(his nanny) that the teachers did not give him chocolate biscuits and sweets!! He said everyone had it!! So poor boy!

Now about me and hubby.
Practically nothing special, hubby still "flying around" at least once a month. He is working hard and I am spending hard too!! Haha..
Me still working at the same place. Doing everything the same.
Except recently has been running around the KK hospital due to my mum.
But luckily, the chapter ended last friday(hopefully).
My mum did a procedure at KKH, although is a simple procedure but due to my mum's age and health, it became a very major case!! But thanks god, she went through the procedure.Now waiting for the result of the poli that was removed last thursday.

Think that's about it for the time being.

Hand Foot Mouth Disease

This "uninvited" guest came to our family recently..
Caused Ayden to suffer for a week and in return tortured me for a week!!!
Ayden was so poor thing.. Could not eat, drink etc.. Saliva kept dripping.. haiz..
His mouth was full of ULCERS!!!
After making Ayden suffered, this "guest" decided to find Mayvis..
At least Mayvis' case is still not that bad as Ayden's. Mayvis' hands n legs, especially the joints.. are full of rashes.. She has very little ulcers.. BUT, that does not mean she will not whine n crank!! She likes a big baby.. Anytime also "mummy... mummy"!!
I really going to burst!! Almost 2 weeks of torture!!

I feel very bad that this stupid "guest" went to my 3rd Sis'place n stays with Sherralyn now!!
Poor girl, hers is the Worst of all!! Like Ayden's.. She also has many ulcers in her mouth..I heard from my sis that Sherralyn can't even talk properly..
Really so Paisay to have pass the virus to her..
Must be last saturday, Sherralyn helped to coax Ayden when he was cranky!!

Let's pray that Sherralyn quickly recovers... And also my dear girl, Mayvis!!
Mummy very tired alrdy.. Oh pls!!

人算不如天算

On Christmas day, planned to bring the kids to watch ALVIN N THE CHIPMUNKS 2. Did all necessary work.. Booked tickets, got the kids ready in time, went for lunch and finally made it on time to stand at the cinema's entrance to wait to enter to the cinema!!
Just at that moment, I suddenly felt something not right!! My head started to "pank, pank"!! Oh no... my headache is back!! I told myself, I would tahan till the end of the show... but.... mid of the show, I started to feel nausea... (dun be mistaken, not a sign of pregnant!!), I wanted to puke and I felt very very uncomfortable. Told hubby and we decided to leave the cinema n headed home!!
When we told Mayvis to leave, her face was so sucked!! I felt so sorry at that moment, but... I really could not stay any moment longer!!
Hubby drove as fast as he could and the moment I stepped into house, dashed to toilet n I became a MERLION!!
What a day!!
From that moment, I spent my Christmas lying on the bed and shuffered between bed n toilet!!

Our HOTTEST Toy

I asked Sharon to help me get an Apple - I Touch from New York before she came back in August..

Ever since the day I got it, I-Touch becomes the 'HOTTEST' toy in our family.

Everyday after work, Ayden sees me, the 1st thing he will say : "Touch... Touch" but not "mummy"!! :(
Then followed by, you will hear some quarrel noise at background when I sit down for a rest.
That noise comes from Mayvis and Ayden.. Fighting for I-touch!!
Normally, the winner is Ayden cos' he will cry when he lose to his Jie Jie..Then you will hear someone says "unfair unfair"!!
So poor Mayvis only hold on to it when Ayden is busy with his toys or doing some writing.
Normally, I will make sure each of them get their turn to get hold of the HOTTEST Toy in the family!

As for me and hubby.... we are more civilised. We don't fight for it..
I will use the device to check emails, do update in facebook during office hours..
After work, on the way to pick the monsters, I will use it to do some photos deco..(to see my "products", pls go to my FB) and to listen to some music.
Hubby will only get hold of it when everyone in the family is tired and about to fall asleep or already sleeping!! Hubby will use it to play some games I downloaded and FB to post some Stupid comments on Sharon's, Tania etc FB!! haha

I spent about S$600+ for it after conversion.. I think is worth.. cos it keeps everyone in the family entertained (except JoJo)... haha
Oh ya, I also downloaded some applications for Mayvis to learn her phonics and Ayden to learn how to write ABC!! So with this, it makes learning fun for the kids too!

To summarise, This is a GOOD BUY!!! haha...

Updates..Updates..

These few weeks manythings had happened..

WORK
Still so stressful, manythings to be done, but time is always not on my side. Thus, need to bring work home to do over weekend..

FAMILY
My two little darlings are getting very naughty.
Mayvis starts to be self-protective when fighting toys or etc with Ayden.
But Ayden on the other hand, learnt whatever things he ses Mayvis does and follows!! Really a big mess!!

MY SISTER & MOTHER
My 4th sister is hospitalised due to blood infection.
She looks so weak and ill... although she is sick, but her mouth still the same - like to talk rubbish!!

Last friday supposed to be on 1/2 day afternoon leave to bring my mum for endoscopy, but early morning of that day, the maid called to say my mum throwing tantrum and insisted not to drink the solution given by the hospital to be taken b4 the scan!! Thus, I need to sms my senior and requested to extend my leave to a FULL day. Then rush down to my mum place and pacified her!!
Finally, mum took the solution and in afternoon, brought her to SGH for her procedure.
Really very heartache to see her go through all these at her age.
But thanks god, although the endoscopy was very painful, but at least mum got a "clearance"from the tests!!
Mum needs to see the surgeon again to review the results and also to schedule her for other tests due to her rapid weight lost!!

SPENDING TIMES WITH MY KIDS
Although recently very busy, but me and hubby do not forget to bring our kids to new places..
One of the place is IMM after the renovation. There is a Kids'playground, but we did visit the playground cos we did not want the kids to be wet and the most impt, we d not bring extra clothings for them.. hee...
The other place is actually an orchid ville at Mandai.
Although the place looks ulu... but inside the ville, there is a restaurant and a display hall showing all kinds of orchids.We went there for dinner with Serena n family. After dinner, we had a walk at the display hall and also introduce our national flower to my kids!!!

Boring, Tired, lousy and Busy Weekend

Last weekend was a BTLB one.
Why?
Boring - Nothing special. Same old routine as per every sunday.

Tired - I did not have a goooood sleep or rest for the past few days as my Dear Ayden was down with fever, runny nose and cough!! And on top of all these, he is having 6 to 7 teeth GROWING in his mouth. Thus, he was super Cranky, Fussy and Sticky!!
Not only him, Mayvis also down with cough!! Something I fear of for her.. Cos she can easily get into more SERIOUS case!!

Lousy - Actually planned to go to the Sitec at S'pore Expo to get my desktop... which I wanted to get for long.. BUT due to Ayden and Mayvis.. I could go no where except staying HOME!

Busy - To be Maria to Ayden.. He was practically my "boss", he only "requested" for me to take care of him, bath him, feed him, play with him, sit beside him... etc..

This blog was set up in January 2008 with the help of my son's godma..
But I take so long to input my 1st post!!

Hubby asked me why do I want to have a blog?
Reason is : I want to share memories of my kids, my dog, my family.

Due to my inadequate knowlegde on setting up blog, my blog look so boring and dull.

I will try my best to explode more and also to improve my blog,
